In my last blog article, “A Vegan Yogini’s Time-Out-of-Time Spiritual Practice”, I mentioned that I was in between books, so I was reading a publication about veganism. Well, after I finished reading that upsetting magazine, I wasn’t sure what to read next. In cultivating the witness, I observed a touch of the usual disoriented feeling that I tend to get in between books, and it was interesting for me to watch that state and to understand how fiercely I hold onto, and anchor to, and ground through whatever book I am currently reading. So then, in between books I experience a bit of vertigo, and I get to consciously practice listening for what is next…

For quite some time I have been wanting to read the Tulsidas Ramayana, but the daunting price has been holding me back. (It is $48 used on Amazon!) So as I was ‘listening’ for what book is next, I wondered if it might be time for the Tulsidas Ramayana, but I could not get a clear answer, so in the meantime I decided to re-read Gandhi-ji’s Book of Prayers. And wouldn’t you know, when I got to the section of prayers by Tulsidas, I felt a very deep resonance and kinship with that sixteenth century Indian poet saint! And that’s when I thought maybe it is time to read his Ramayana

Well, one reason why I can’t spend the money is that I owe my landlords $50 for a dryer repair, and since I’m only working half-time (and still searching for more work), I haven’t been able to pay them, so then I can’t order a book for $50 either… So Thursday morning, I said to the Universe, with my teenage son as my witness, “I need an extra hundred dollars to come to me this week.” If you have been following my blog for a while, then you already know that I struggle with the concept of “manifesting your reality” because even though our thoughts are indeed powerful, there are so many other co-factors at play when we are putting intentions out to the universe…

Even though we don’t always get what we think we want, sometimes we do (!), and in this case, it was quite an amazing manifestation. After putting that request (demand?) out to the Universe, I went to help a friend and he gave me ten dollars more than the ten dollars he owed me, and then after lunch, I got a call from EcoTeas asking me to work at their next packaging day, which will likely bring in about $75-95, and then that same day, a guy in the UK sent me a message about ordering my book Radiance Rising: Spiritual Practices for Daily Living. So, all of that will total about one hundred dollars, maybe a little more!

With Amazing Gratitude, I’m now going to write my landlords a check for the $50 I owe them, and then I’m going to get on Amazon and order the Tulsidas Ramayana!

May all beings everywhere receive everything they need, when they need it.

Om Shanti (Peace),

A couple of nights ago I watched Oprah’s Lifeclass Webcast, “You Become What You Believe” (you can view the video on the Webcasts section of Oprah’s Lifeclass website), and I was greatly inspired by all that Oprah and Cheryl Richardson said during that webcast. Cheryl Richardson, Co-Author with Louise Hay of You Can Create An Exceptional Life, coached several people, including Oprah, on how to change their thoughts, using affirmations, mirrors, and more. I highly recommend watching this light and humorous show.

Here are a few of Cheryl’s affirmations that struck deep chords in me ~

~ “Abundance flows into my life in surprising and magical ways every day.”

~ “I love receiving.”

~ “People love to pay me for my art.” (I would say “People love to pay me for my healing, creative services.”)

And my favorite: “Every time I turn around, I get a check in the mail.”

Cheryl also talked about the important spiritual principle of “acting as if” while you are taking actions. She said that affirmations plus actions equals miracles. I very much appreciated the practical advice she gave to several people: “Get a job, so you aren’t desperate for people to financially support your creative expression, then continue following your passion while working to pay the bills.” To that Oprah nodded in agreement and pointed out that there is a timing to everything.

One other thing that really “got” me was when Cheryl said that as she gets older, she thinks that we are all healers and artists. That was an especially relaxing thing for me to hear, because it helped me realize that if we are all healers and artists, then my growing understanding that I am a healer and an artist doesn’t mean that I need to do anything in particular in any rushing order!

So the next morning, when I was sitting in silent meditation, I ‘heard’ the following affirmation that I am now saying and emanating to the world: “I am always at the right place at the right time.” And, as Cheryl said, “Every time I turn around, I get a check in the mail.” I can hardly keep up with all these trips to the bank!

Cheers to all of us re-training our minds to think positive, inspiring thoughts! And kudos to Oprah for all the amazing work she is doing on this planet. I have deep Gratitude for all the ways she manifests her intention to help wake people up.

May all beings everywhere have food, clothing, shelter, and peaceful sleep each day.

This article is a continuation of the blog article posted on September 9th, “A Vegan Yogini’s Radiant Shiva Bliss on Mt. Shasta!” As I shared in that blog, while hiking on Sacred Mt. Shasta (on September 4th), I prayed to the mountain (and to my beloved Gurus, Ammachi and Neem Karoli Baba-ji) about my financial situation. Even though I have grown skeptical about the process of manifesting intentions (see “Manifesting Intentions”: a workable process in this decade?”), I said the following out loud to the mountain: “Please help me with my financial situation by September 16th!”

In the “manifesting intentions” world, it is important to think positive thoughts and keep visualizing what you intend to manifest. Well, despite my growing worries (and despairing, negative thoughts) about finances, suddenly (and magically), over this past week quite a few job opportunities started coming my way! The most exciting one, which I was offered (and happily accepted) yesterday (September 15th), is a part-time position of medical assistant at Morningstar Healing Arts. And, tonight I am going to give a Reiki session in someone’s home, since I now “have table, will travel” with my new business, Radiance Rising Reiki. So my financial situation is coming together, and today is September 16th, the very date I asked for!

I am filled with a Gratitude that is beyond words. I bow to the Great Mystery that is filled with a Magic which we cannot possibly understand with our little human brains.

May Divine Grace help all beings to have food, clothing, shelter, and peaceful sleep. May all beings know the Happiness that arises from a Grateful Heart.

My son Gabe took this amazing photo of the sun setting up on Mt. Ashland, the night of the Full Moon in July… After that night of speaking my intentions to the Full Moon, I posted a blog article entitled “Allowing Intentions to Manifest through the “I don’t know” Mantra!” Well, since writing that article, the hilarious (and sometimes not so hilarious) internal conversations have continued, and this morning the hilarity (and despair) of it all has prompted me to write the following article…

There are many “correct” expressions in the world of “manifesting intentions” – you’ve probably heard these a zillion times: “Follow your bliss and the money will follow.” “If you are in the flow, the Universe will support you.” “When one door closes, another door opens.” Well, what if these expressions were true in the 70’s and 80’s, and perhaps even in the 90’s, but they aren’t so true in this world of the present decade (whatever it’s called)? I mean, there are a lot more people on the planet now, and the gap between the rich and the poor has grown exponentially. There are nearly 1 billion people starving on this planet earth – are they finding open doors?

Perhaps, with 7 billion people on the planet, if we were all truly “in the flow”, then the Universe would support us all, but that support would look quite different from the current state of affairs in which a small minority is very, very wealthy, while the masses are growing poorer each day. It is difficult to even contemplate this subject, because whether or not you are currently financially stable, when you read this article, perhaps you feel hopeless to help the situation in any positive way. I myself do not know the answers. I am simply sharing what is on my mind today. Please feel free to comment in the section below this article, and/or you can email me anytime: teja@yogini-bliss.com

May all beings have food, clothing, shelter, and peaceful sleep each night.

Earlier this week, I suddenly felt inspired to place an ad on Craig’s List, “Vegan Barefoot Yogini Seeks Entrepreneur(s) to Collaborate With!” The ad reads:

“Vegan barefoot yogini seeks entrepreneur(s) to collaborate with... highly energetic, creative, responsible and idea-filled Lightworker looking for inspired and generous entrepreneur(s) to work with in manifesting great creative services in the world... i.e., a vegan café with healing arts studio beside a rushing creek... willing to work earnestly to serve many beings... need to connect with high-vibration beings who have a lot of money and intend to do a lot of good... are you one of those beings? If so, please contact me!”

After posting that ad, I’ve once again been reflecting on the whole process of “manifesting intentions” and once again I am witnessing myself experiencing many hilarious internal conversations. And what it once again comes down to, as I wrote in a blog article on February 2nd, 2010 (“Manifesting Intentions from a State of Knowingness”), is I DON’T KNOW! Laughing as I type… I know what wonderful gifts I have to offer this world, but I just don’t know how or when they are going to manifest… and so I need to learn to simply say to the Full Moon, “I don’t know. I’m willing to do a lot of great work… Oh Beloved Universe, use me as YOU see fit!”

Laughing all the way home, saying the “I don’t know” mantra with each breath…

May all beings everywhere surrender into Deep Acceptance and Flowing Peace.

Om Shanti (Peace),

Yogini Tejaswini

Tomorrow please join us - in body and/or in spirit - for the Grand Opening of the Goddess Temple of Ashland! Saturday, March 19th, 1:30pm at the Jackson WellSprings. See you there in Gratitude...

A couple of days ago, I created a fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo, because I believe so strongly in the work I am doing. For the past 7 years, I have been working very hard and serving others in very valuable ways. Very little of that work has been financially compensated, and so I followed my bliss all the way down to my last dollars, and so now I am opening to receive new financial support.

When it comes down to the essence of this, it is not really about “me” – it’s about the books that came through me that are helping others to heal themselves from the inside-out; it’s about the Light that shines through me at the Radiance Rising Circles that is uplifting others and sparking their own inner Light; and it’s about the Teja Blog articles that come through me that are touching chords and benefiting the blog readers. I am just one tiny vessel willing to pour out Light, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to radiate the Light in so many ways.

So, if you would help me spread the word about this IndieGoGo fundraising campaign, by using the share buttons on my campaign page itself, that will “up” my “GoGo Factor” and then my campaign will be featured on the home page and exposed to many more people, including possibly the media.

I would really appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to read my campaign and share it with your networks… click here to read my campaign: Yes! Yogini! Help Teja Promote her Books, Blogs, and Circles.

Even if you aren’t inclined to donate financially yourself, if you would take just a few minutes to share this campaign, there might be some people in your networks who would be inclined to donate, and that would help me so much!

And, again, it’s not really about “me” – it’s about the helpful work that comes through me. That work brings me bliss, but more importantly, it inspires and benefits others.

May all beings reunite with the inner Light.

Yogini Tejaswini

Dear Diary, I have something picked out for what I’m going to be when I grow up. “TEACHER”

I wrote that proclamation in my diary in 1978, the year this school photo was taken of me. I was 8 years old. My beloved spiritual teacher, David La Chapelle (who is “Basil” in my books, and who left his physical body in July, 2009), talked about how we can look back to the inclinations we had when we were about 7-10 years old for clues as to our destiny and purpose.

In another diary, I wrote the following on February 17th, 1980 (10 years old): Dear Diary, My hopes to be an author are growing thicker in my brain. I think I have a chance!!! If there were magic, I would make me queen of books (for me to read and write), but there isn’t magic!!!

I don’t remember where I got such a silly idea – that there isn’t magic – and that part makes me a little sad, for the ten-year-old inside me who didn’t believe in magic, but the exciting part of that diary entry is how I clearly stated my intention to be an author. And, one of my three intentions for 2011 is Magic!!!! (See my earlier blog article: Yogini Tejaswini’s Intentions for 2011)

So, this illustrates what my dear teacher David said about how we know something – at 7-10 years old – about the seeds of our destiny. I knew then what I have re-learned now: that I am meant to be writing and teaching. Each year that knowing gets deeper.

Thank you for joining me on this sacred journey to the Light.

May all beings everywhere know that they are interconnected sparks of the One Light.

This morning as I opened my eyes at the end of my sitting meditation, a tender little voice next to me sang, “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Dear Mama’s Website, happy birthday to you!” It was my younger son sweetly acknowledging this big day. He knew that I was planning to decorate my website in pink today. What a wonderful way to begin my day!

Thank you, dear reader, for being a part of this yogini-bliss journey with me. This past year I published over 100 articles here on the Teja Blog. I really, really love writing the articles, and I am grateful for the letters of appreciation I’ve received from so many of you. I am so happy when something I say touches a chord in you. Please send me any burning questions or issues that you would like for me to write articles about.

It is my intention to help raise the vibration of the human species. I am saying “Yes! Yogini!” to myself, which means, “Yes, go out cheerleading for spiritual practices that help people unite with the inner Light!”

May this year 2011 be filled with magical happenings and incredible heart openings for us all. May all beings take steps (like daily spiritual practices) that lead to the blissful experience of Self-Love.

Kritajuutaa! ~ So much Gratitude!

As I sit down to write today, I am breathing in deep Gratitude for this clean workspace. At this time yesterday, my computer desk was not so clean. In fact, it was disgustingly dirty, dusty, and disorganized. A couple of days ago, something in me snapped, and I knew that it was time to clear out the clutter. Suddenly an inner knowing arose that said, “You need to clean your house because all this mess is blocking Prosperity from flowing into your life!”

For good measure, I even put a “Prosperity” Feng Shui Symbol on my computer. It is a label from TheSpiritOfWater.com, and the blessing card reads, “In truth, prosperity is the faith and evidence that everything needed in life will be provided.” Ah so… Faith!

I am really quite a newbie at “manifesting intentions” – I just began learning about such concepts about 1½ years ago – and now I am at the stage of taking a close look at the ways I unconsciously sabotage my intentions.

And what about you? Are you aware of what blocks you might need to clear so that your deepest dreams can manifest?

May all beings tune in deeply to the Highest Light.

Om Shanti (Peace),
